Thanksgiving feast!

Hello parents!
The thanksgiving feast was a HUGE hit!
HUGE thanks to all the parents who came out to help us. Thank you so very much!!

We had our turkey ham, corn on the cob, friendship fruit salad, and pumpkin bread.
Everything was so delicious and the kids loved it.

When we come back from the break, we will be learning about the letter /f/.
The weekly sheet will come home tomorrow, as well as the lyrics to the song we will be performing at the winter program.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving break!

Warmly,
Florita, Fanahi and Maria.

Thanksgiving is near!

Hello parents!

I hope everyone had a great 3-day weekend this week!
Next week, we will have our Thanksgiving Feast. There will be NO MIXING next week due to the feast and the preparation for it.

Next Thursday will be our Thanksgiving Feast!
Florita will prepare the meat course of our meal, turkey ham!
Fanahi's class will be making the pumpkin bread.
Maria's class will be making corn on the cob.

Friendly reminder,
Each class is responsible for plates and forks for their own class. In addition to that, each class needs to bring 3 pies as well as a piece of fruit from each student.
We will make the friendship fruit salad together before the feast.

Thank you always for your support
Florita, Fanahi and Maria

CMCS Kindergarten is the BEST!

Hello parents!
As you know, we had our first field trip of the year yesterday at STAR ECO Station. We had so much fun learning about the environment and exotic wildlife animals who were rescued. Then we had lunch at the culver city park and played on the play ground. While we were playing, the park ranger told one of our teachers that our group of kids were the best behaved students he had ever seen. He also said, if all schools behaved this good, the world would be a better place. What an amazing thing to hear! GO Kindergarteners! :)

This week, we have been learning about the letter /I/. The students were not only sounding out and blending, but also forming simple sentences. I'm sure you noticed the amazing work the students are doing at home and at school.

Next week, the first story of the letter books will be sent home! The story is called "Tag", and it'll go home with the weekly homework. Please practice at home with your child and make sure he/she can sound out every single word in the story! We will practice the story everyday in class.

To celebrate Thanksgiving, the kindergarten classes are doing our annual feast on November 21st.
As time approaches, we'll send you more details.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact your child's teacher.
As always, thank you for your support.

Warmly,
Florita, Fanahi and Maria :)
